Description
If anyone had told me back in the 90s how incredibly popular Regional Jets would've been, I would've asked them to have his or her head checked. But the Regional Jet phenomenon continues to be a way that many a carrier strives for. Cost efficient and wholly capable, these little jets aren't so little anymore. The CRJ-1000 can seat up to 100 passengers, and I've seen these RJ's operate on routes that aren't exactly "regional" (unless you count SF to Vancouver as "regional").
In this picture, a Canadair CRJ-700 soars into the skies, with the Moon serving as a backdrop. It is a pretty appropriate setting - RJ's have exceeded every single expectation of their operators, indeed proving that the skies are the limit.
