If you've ever watched the USN Blue Angels solo do their thing, then you know what "work" really is! Maintaining insanely close and precise proximity to the lead is already a job in itself, but to throw in maneuvers where you close on your counterpart at 500 mph or more while pulling upwards to 9 Gs is a task that is not for the faint of heart! Mentally and physically pushed to the upper limits of endurance, these pilots really earn their pay!
So it is with this print that I pay homage to the pilots who have filled the role of Blue Angel Solo. In this picture, #6 has completed one of it's opposing passes and is circling around for it's next move in the routine. At this moment, our section of the crowd was all his, our cheers rising up as he thundered by and away for the routine's next move.
