Any pilot worth his wings will give kudos to the boys and girls on the ground. Whether it's the mechanics that they rely on keeping their machine hale & hearty or the caterer that has ensured their crew meals are onboard, a flyboy or flygirl will give the nod to a bunch of unsung heroes that make sure the only thing they likely will have to worry about is flying.
In this image, a 737 is ready for taxi, and the guy who was in charge of pushing the plane back from the gate is done giving things a last good lookover. In his left hand is the nosegear pin which he showed the pilots a moment ago. With his right, he waves them a, "See ya!" as he starts walking away. The pilots, thankful for his efforts in geting them on their way, wave back.
