Watching vintage prop warbirds with really gets my pulse going! Don't get me wrong, a sleek F-16 taxiing by will hold my attention, but there's an entirely different quality about the propeller-equipped machines from WW2 thru the Vietnam War. From the noise of their engines to their build-quality from an era now long gone, it just shunts me back to a time that I wish I was present to witness.
At the time this photograph was taken, the heat of the jets had long cooled down, and the static displays were leaving the airport. Most of the crowds had long left, but in doing so they missed this amazing sight of a small little vintage warbird parade. A T-28 Trojan leads a P-51 Mustang while another Trojan falls in line. The alley in which they were taxiing became a choice spot for me for a long while... if my camera shot counter was any indication.
