The standing policy of the Blue Angels regarding rides in their legendary jets is pretty standard - only people who have the established ability to relate their experiences to the masses are considered. After all, their reach is pretty broad, and when they tell what it's like to strap into a virtual rocket ride, the story goes out to thousands of potential recruits. The Blues are a first and foremost publicity tool, granted a highly charged and entertaining one, but one nonetheless.
It's always interesting to read how a journalist describes the "high performance departure," the standard way the Blues introduce them to Navy flying. Skimming the deck at high speed, the Hornet is cranked into a sudden and very dramatic climb, putting serious G-forces on the occupant. While I do not know how many Gs journalists are subjected to, the condensation here is a visual clue. No doubt, many have had to take long moments to put into words what they felt that moment.
