If I've learned anything in my time here on this Earth, it's that retrospection is a powerful thing. That simple act of looking back on the past is the first step to developing hindsight, a crucial tidbit needed to gaining wisdom.
American Airlines has certainly had it's share of retrospection over its nearly-eight decades worth of history. In that time, they have constantly identified shortcomings and have adjusted. They've had the chance to learn from the mistakes of the many carriers they acquired over its history as to not repeat them. Staying a viable entity in the commercial aviation game requires constantly looking back at what's working and what doesn't, adjusting as required to stay at the forefront of being popular with the traveling public.
"In Retrospect" definitely shows that act of "looking at one's history". Shot over a puddle as to create a mirror image, it definitely gives the impression of an airplane that (with a little creative thinking) just might...
About Alex Esguerra
Aviation is a passion of mine... always has been. And photography is a means of sharing that passion with others. If I'm not flying a plane or sitting in one, then I'm likely training a lens towards it. While I've flown planes for only a fraction of my life, I've always considered myself a pilot.
